Year 6

Let us begin with a big warm welcome to Year 6.

This year, Year 6 will be taught by Mr McDonald, with the support of Mrs Lloyd and Mrs McHugh.

Throughout the year, we will strive to ensure that our wonderful Year 6 children experience a rich and fulfilling curriculum that is both fun and engaging in a happy and safe environment. We are all committed, so that our children grow and succeed academically and personally, so that they can challenge themselves to be more confident and independent by the end of the year.

Maximilian Kolbe, our class saint, lived out and displayed the very qualities we want our children in Year 6 to show; perseverance, commitment and dedication. He showed unbelievable courage and incredible bravery in the toughest of times and these are just some of the characteristics we will endeavour to instil in our children.

Like the words of our mission statement, we will endeavour to light a fire in the hearts of our children, so that they can approach life with the confidence and empowerment to make a difference in the world and to the people that live in it.

Mrs Doherty, Mrs McHugh and Mr McDonald cannot wait to venture on this wonderful journey with Year 6, but if you do have any questions, please feel free to come and speak with us.
