Special Event - NSPCC Speak Out and Stay Safe

15 January 2020

On Wednesday 15th January, we welcomed Clay and her mascot, Buddy from the NSPPC. Clay and Buddy presented and carried out workshops with the children. They emphasised the importance of 'Speaking out and staying safe'. Keeping children safe is at the heart of everything we do.

We learned about the different types of abuse and how to recognise the signs; how to protect ourselves from all forms of abuse and how to get help and the help available from NSPPC’s Childline Services.

Clay and Buddy discussed how we could talk through our worries with a trusted adult or talk to Childline on 08001111. Childline is a free confidential helpline for children. The children had fun learning the child friendly action song to help them remember the number.

We all have the right to speak out and stay safe!
