Year 4 celebrated the feast day of St Terese of Lisieux (Feast day 1 October). The children prayed, listened and showed empathy for the life that the ‘little flower’ had, and we thought about how we can all try to be examples of the generous and loving person that she was.
The children wrote some beautiful and reverent prayers dedicated to our class saint as well as working together to create a fact file about her life. We learned about the torrid journey that Terese had to endure during her life, and how she still came out showing such care to those who were sick and in pain. Throughout the year we will keep her in our thoughts and prayers.
