Years 5 and 6 took part in a Loudmouth Theatre presentation and workshop. During the presentation we were reminded about the NSPCC’s PANTS rule and learned what each rule means.
PANTS is a simple and clever acronym devised to teach us the underwear rule:
- Privates are private.
- Always remember your body belongs to you.
- No means no.
- Talk about secrets that upset you and
- Speak up, someone can help.
The PANTS rule helps us to know how to stay safe in our relationships with others both on and off line. We know that we can always talk to a trusted adult or ring Childline if we need to speak to someone about a worry we have.
