This week we have had two wonderful music concerts showcasing our talented children and their music skills. Our school hall was filled with parents who enjoyed watching their children perform to such a high standard.
On Wednesday Year 1 and Year 2 performed for our community and friends with Mr Downton from the Music Service. They performed rhythm patterns on the djembe drums working collaboratively and showing fantastic listening skills. They also sang songs and demonstrated the ability to follow patterns and rhythms.
On Thursday Mr Chamberlain led the guitar concert with Year 4 and the electives from Year 5 and Year 6. The audience were delighted as the children performed Furruca, Chasing Cars, I’ve got music and many more melodies showing the range of skills they have learned this year.
What a wonderful way to share our talents, performing music and sharing our learning together.
