Primary School PE and Sport Funding

The government is providing funding to improve the provision of PE and sport, for the benefit of primary-aged pupils to give them the opportunity to develop a healthy lifestyle.

Schools receive £8,000 per year plus £5 per pupil.

Action Outcome
To change our Swimming provision to increase progress. Children more confident and proficient in the water.
To provide quality sports coaches including CPD for teachers via GetSportsActive. Teachers more proficient and confident in delivering the PE curriculum to enable their children to make outstanding progress.
To provide inter house competition across the school year in various sports. All children in KS2 have taken part in lunchtime competition in various sports (Hockey, Basketball, Cricket, Football).
Subscription to Warwickshire Cricket Association. Skilled cricketing coach providing in school and after school coaching. Participation in inter school competitions.
