Event - Villa Vitality

15 December 2014

On Thursday 15th January, Year 5 enjoyed a day of activities organised by Villa Vitality! We started the day practising agility and movement skills. This built to us learning some football techniques, some of which were really tricky! Finally, at the end of the morning, the moment we had all been waiting for... the matches!

Coach split us into four teams and we played a series of games. We were not allowed to touch the ball more than three times, so we had to work as a team. It was incredibly difficult to score goals because everyone played so well! After lunch another member of the Villa Vitality staff arrived to teach us all about healthy living.

We took part in different activities such as, planning a healthy meal and guessing the sugar content in different drinks. Some of the results were shocking! Finally, our parents took part in a workshop where they learned about some of the same things as us.

We have been set six challenges to complete before our trip to Villa Park in March. The first of which is to eat at least five pieces of fruit and veg a day! We wonder who will succeed?
