Special Event - Jaguar Challenge Finals

23 June 2015

On 23rd June our Jaguar challenge Furious Five went to compete in the Primary Jaguar challenge.

In this competition you have to complete a variety of tasks for example: engineer a car, present a PowerPoint, create a pit display and produce a portfolio, which would be all be judged on the day. Our jaguar team first went to the regional finals with other teams across the area, in which they excelled and came first.

After this we got back to work and improved the car and also developed other areas, for example we created a website and twitter account, in which we gained some followers.

During this amazing, fun-filled, knowledgeable challenge, we have created a strong bond of friendship with Aston University Engineering Academy. We are very grateful to them as they helped us with our car, wheels, axels and gave us a lot of information, we hope that in the future if we compete again they will support us

Also a HUGE thanks to our other sponsors: Askelite, Pertemps and Getsportsactive.

In the Nationals we came fifth overall out of 30 teams which is a huge accomplishment. We also came a close second on the verbal presentation and the additional challenge. The additional challenge was a hat that we had to make on the day to show our design skills, this also was judged.
